Social Service Programs

Emergency Aid

Community Services is open daily and distributes emergency, USDA and FEMA food programs, holiday food during Thanksgiving and Christmas, along with Spirit of Giving and Adopt-a-Family programs. Donated clothing is available to people using our services at no cost to them. Community Services owns and rents EIGHT apartments intended for low-income families. All are HUD approved. more >

Housing

Community Services Venango County has four apartments available through our Permanent Supportive Housing Program. Permanent Supportive Housing is a successful, cost-effective combination of affordable housing with services that help people live more stable and productive lives. more >

Life Skills

Comprehensive services are available for individual sessions as well as group sessions. Our goal is to continue to find ways to help families/individuals gain the tools they need to overcome some of the barriers that prevent their success in many aspects of their lives. more >

PA Work Wear

Promotes and helps to ensure the economic independence of individuals who receive TANF and/or Food Stamps by providing professional attire for job interviews and specific clothing necessary for employment in lieu of a special clothing allowance from the County Assistance Office. more >

Work Ready Program

Provides case-management and supportive services for those receiving public assistance; assists individuals with a gradual engagement in employment and training activities while at the same time remediating specific barriers to employment. more >

Recruitment and Retention of Direct Care Workers (CNA)

Community Services has been providing the opportunity for individuals to learn a new skill and receive training as a Nurse Assistant. more >
